Spend a full day in the Jordanian countryside, discovering authentic farm life, natural forests, and traditional village crafts around Dibeen and Jerash.
This hands-on experience is ideal for guests seeking authenticity and a local experience, away from the city.
Your day starts with a visit to a small farm where you will milk a cow and interact with different types of doves, pigeons, and black chickens, learning about their breeds, behavior, and value.
After that, a local woman farmer welcomes you to her open terrace overlooking Dibeen forest, where you will prepare sun-dried tomato pastry and bake it in an outdoor Arabic oven, then enjoy it as your first meal of the day with tea and Arabic coffee.
Continue with a gentle guided walk through Dibeen forest, where you will learn about Dibeen caves, wild plants such as the Greek strawberry tree, pine, and Aleppo pine, and local wildlife, including insects, wild boar, and the Persian squirrel.
Next, you will visit a 140-year-old stone and mud house in the Jerash countryside for an inspiring traditional pottery experience.
Learn how local clay is made using soil and straw, then shape your own cup or small item to keep.
After the workshop, enjoy a traditional Jerash farmers’ lunch with seasonal salad, fresh yoghurt, Rashoof, mjadara, and a seasonal dish, followed by Zalabia, a rich local sweet made with sesame, black cumin, pine seeds, turmeric, olive oil, and whole wheat flour.
You can also dress up like a local woman farmer and take memorable photos.
End the day at a beekeeping garden where you will make your own beeswax candle and learn how to build a small “hotel” for solitary bees that help pollinate plants and gardens, all while relaxing with a cup of tea or Arabic coffee.
After a full day of unique experiences, you will return comfortably to your hotel in Amman.
