Location : This stylish hotel is situated in a tropical rainforest resort and is one of the few hotels to be certified by the Costa Rican National Accreditation Commission for sustainable tourism (tourism with sense of responsibility). Situated on a meander of the Sardinal river, some 15 minutes by car from Puerto Viejo, the main town of Sarapiqu�, it is surrounded by tropical heliconia and ginger gardens. The hotel is around 2 hours by car from San Jos� and only a few minutes from a wonderful nature trail, the Rainforest Museum, Braulio Carrillo national park and extensive, primary tropical rainforest. The staff are very committed and the hotel is personally run by a Costa Rican family. A small museum exhibits finds from the Pre-Colombian period and a small part of Richard Whitten�s famous insect collection.
