Foreign guests and Colombians residing outside the country are exempt from paying 19% VAT if they contract a tourist package (accommodations and services). Only guests holding a TP-11 visa or Permiso-5/PTP-5 tourist visa are exempt from paying VAT during their stay, provided they stay in the country for less than 6 months.
